prop (oh no!) eight

i am pretty loath to get into the whole proposition 8 blame-game. suffice it to sy, there are plenty of villains and plenty of cowards. and plenty of heroes.

in today's miami herald, columnist leonard pitts speaks as an african-american man to members of the african-american community about prop 8 (click the text for the full article):

i wish they would explain to me how they can, with a straight face, use arguments against gay people that were first tested and perfected against us.

those who bear scars from intolerance should be the last to practice it.
