I presume when the space becomes dorms code will require they maintain the fire escapes. That will be weird.

This, of course, is apropos of nothing. I just thought of it looking at the picture - which is, indeed, very cool.

if that area will become dorms, those fire escapes are going to be very popular with residents—and equally unpopular with administrators.
