i waited in a respectably long line in north cambridge and voted. unusually, there was a fairly hefty discrepancy between the lists posted at the door and the official lists, and so provisional ballots were blooming all over the gym in which folks were attempting to vote. i'm happy to say i wasn't among those with problems.
on another note, a woman in front of me stepped up, gave her name, got her ballot and then marched right out of the building. my laughter got a querying look from the poll-worker who, when told of the woman's departure, ran after her to sort it out. on folks such as this woman the weight of democracy rests.
i've done my part; now it's up to the rest of america.
