a few on my flist have lately moved, or announced the intention to move, blog(s) to other locations. one of the values of this space for me is that it constitutes one-stop shopping in a familiar environment. one log-on, one method for commenting, etc. (for all its faults).

all that is to say that i most likely won't be perusing your journal(s) elsewhere. as much as i enjoy reading and commenting, i'm just not up to a collection of platforms.

I already had the impression that some of the action is moving to other sites, e. g. Facebook--I "keep meaning" to check these out but I never seem to have time at the end of the day.

well, facebook is another kind of social networking site, one not geared toward the kind of long-form communication in lj; i'm on facebook, but blogspot, myspace and the others are just too much for me to add to my repertoire at this time.

I'm with you, though I love Facebook, it's serves a very different (much less personal) purpose for me.
