the california constitution (amended)
Nov. 7th, 2008 11:49 amon tuesday, california's electorate added the following to the constitution:
sec. 7.5. only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in california.in the interest of the compelling public policy goals of the voters of the golden state, may i submit that the following be added to the constitution at the next general election:
sec. 7.6. marriage is regarded by the state of california to be indissoluble, constituting a lifetime bond and contract which may not be broken other than by death.consistency in the argument of those who supported prop. 8 demands nothing less.
